What the customer wanted
The client wanted a smooth, joint-free surface that would be easy to push a wheelchair across, with no loose stone.
What we did
- Removed the old gravel and excavated to formation level
- Laid and rolled a new 50mm tarmac base course
- Installed a double course of granite setts as an edge restraint
- Trowelled silver quartz resin bound to a 18mm depth
- Fitted six recessed low-voltage uplighters along the border
The result
A completely smooth, permeable surface with excellent kerb appeal and no maintenance beyond an occasional sweep.
