What the customer wanted
The garden fell steeply away from the house and was effectively unusable. The brief was a level entertaining area with planting and a lawn beyond.
What we did
- Cleared the garden and set out two new levels
- Built oak sleeper retaining walls with concealed drainage
- Laid 90m² of light grey porcelain on a full mortar bed
- Formed three wide steps down to the lower lawn
- Imported topsoil, planted beds and laid new turf
The result
A usable, level terrace directly off the kitchen doors with a proper lawn beyond, finished inside two weeks.
